The Battlefield (Composite) Mountain Bike team and its supporting 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Battlefield Area Racing were both established in 2022. Battlefield Composite is a member of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), and is a co-ed team for athletes 9-18 years of age, living primarily in the Spotsylvania, Stafford and Culpeper Counties. The student athletes we support, can be found competing in both NICA and USA Cycling events throughout the year.

We have an incredible group of coaches, with a plethora of experience and back grounds, where the ultimate goal is safety for our student athletes. All coaches are trained in First Aid, CPR, abuse awareness and vetted through background checks via NICA League requirements and guidance.

- Name, gender, age and grade of student athlete. Note: Currently Athletes must be in 6th-12th grades however we plan to welcome elementary ages 9 and up in the spring of 2023. *Athletes birthday is not mandatory however would be helpful.
- Experience on mountain bike trails (None, Some or Considerable) "Some" experience does not have to be with a cycling team, but could be time spent with family or friends on the trails. If so, how long have they been riding, and how confident are they? Your answers here will help the coaching staff to better gauge which ability group your student athlete may be best suited to join.
- Does your student athlete have a well fitting and in good operating order mountain bike? Minimum wheel size of 24" for elementary ages and 26" for Middle and High schoolers.
